Previously known as Sassyfruit Studios, April Rosenthal Designs is a one woman business, catering to other women who want a clean, fresh look for their blog, website, or print design. I love beautiful color schemes, clean lines, and avoid design “clutter” as much as you will let me.
I work exclusively with Blogger and WordPress. Please don’t ask me to use another platform. I will be nice, but I will still tell you no. I have had the best results with these systems, and prefer to work with what I know best. That said, many things can be done regardless of your platform. For example, if you’re using Typepad, I can still design a header for you, which you can install yourself. For individual elements like that, it’s just a matter of telling me what size (in pixels) you would like, and what type of files you are able to use. For full redesigns or themes however, Blogger and WordPress are it.
Generally speaking, it takes about 2 weeks start to finish to redo your blog or website. This, of course, is dependent on how quickly you hold up your side of things: responding to emails, making decisions, paying your deposits, etc. If I have to wait more than 48 hours for your response, I will begin working on the next client in my queue, and you will be bumped after them. This isn’t to be mean, it’s just to keep my work as efficient as possible, and to be courteous to those who have followed up promptly and are waiting for my attention. If you’re prompt, we’ll have no troubles.
I work on an hourly basis. This means that I will not be able to give you an exact quote for your job, but I can give you a ballpark estimate. I have found that there is not really a fair way to charge a flat rate for design services, as some clients require a lot more interaction, feedback, and revision than others. In order to do a good job for you, and to keep things cost effective for those who know what they want and respond quickly, I work strictly on an hourly rate.
